Access and Reporting of
Information
HP Information Access is a
simple yet powerful interface
for integrating PC,
minicomputer, or mainframe
data with desktop
applications. Non-technical
knowledge workers can
easily pull information from
a vast range of external data
sources into formatted
desktop reports and other
applications. Customers
may choose an appropriate
application for access
depending upon the client
platform:

Document and Text
Management
HP Document Manager is a
business intelligence tool for
knowledge workers and
clerical workers. It provides
for easy storage and retrieval
of all types of shared and
unshared PC documents,
based on external document
attributes (such as, author,
date, type, etc.). It is based
on Saros* Corporation's
Mezzanine*, which is
recognized as the most fully-
featured, network-based PC
document management
engine available today.
Verity TOPIC* text
management system provides
for easy storage and fast
retrieval of text documents
based on document content
*either by exact keyword
match or by concept match.
Users can quickly access
textual information from
sources throughout the
enterprise.
Electronic Mail
HP Electronic Mail Solution
uses the robust HP OpenMail
engine as the core
component for enterprise-
wide electronic mail support.
The HP Electronic Mail
Solution is a complete
architecture for
implementing large mission-
critical messaging networks.
The solution links into
legacy electronic mail
systems and supports a broad
range of clients. At the same
time, it offers the lowest
overall cost of ownership per
user in the industry. A
variety of electronic mail-
enabled applications and
accessories is provided
through partnerships with
premier third-party solution
providers, as well as leading
